On September 4, 2018 Sidney council approved the development permit for the three lot land assembly at 9850, 9858, 9866 Fourth Street to construct a four storey 37 unit multi-residential building with 28 parking stalls. Of the 37 dwelling units, 4 are 3-bedroom, 15 are 2-bedroom, and 18 are 1-bedroom, with unit sizes ranging from 45 m2 (484 ft2 ) to 113 m2 (1,216 ft2 ).

The developer team is Gerald Hartwig, John Newton, and Conrad Nyren. The building will be wood-frame, with partial concrete under-building open parking. Tucked two blocks from the ocean and close to shopping & area restaurants, these one, two and three-bedroom homes offer contemporary everyday living.
